It was a disappointing outing for our Kensington CC Over 50 Men Div 2, who fell short against HFVCC Green on a day that didn't go our way.
We batted first and put 9/209 on the board from 40 overs. Andrew Rumbelow was the pick of our batters with 21. Richard Thompson did the damage for HFVCC Green with three for 21. Gregg Harris added three for 43 for the visitors.
Our opponents knocked off the runs, finishing on 106 in 28.3 overs. Joseph Lions batted well for the visitors, making 33 off 37 balls. Sam Crafter returned figures of four for 16 off four overs. Robert Muir backed up well, taking two for 21.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. A tough stretch, and one the boys will be determined to end.
Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
