There was no joy for our Kensington Hahn Mens 4th Grade, who went down to Glenelg on a tough day.
Glenelg set us 232 to win, finishing on 5/231 from 40 overs. Credit to Hugo van Gestel, who made a century (116) for our opponents. There were 30 from Jayden Simons for the hosts. Nick Holmes picked up three for 41 off eight overs.
Chasing 232, we reached 9/184 from 40 overs. Fifty for Alex Chapman, who finished with 57 off 74 balls. Our opponents' best with the ball was Billy Schuster (four for 30).
There were some quality individual efforts to build on. On the ladder, we're sitting fifth.
We'll look to bounce back against Adelaide next Saturday.
