Our Kensington Kookaburra Womens 1st Grade were on song as they had the measure of Adelaide with a quality team effort.
Adelaide's innings closed at 6/174 from 50 overs. Morgan Pires held the visitors' innings together with 44. With the ball, Shae Daly did the damage, claiming two for 27 off ten overs. Maddie Penna chipped in with two for 27.
In reply, the side reached the target at 6/175 in 44.1 overs. Rachel Church's 70 not out off 115 balls was a half-century to remember. Daly contributed 26 off 73 balls. Ava Gaerth was the pick of our opponents' bowlers with three for 44.
It was a terrific all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up.
A superb effort from the girls.
