It was a disappointing outing for our Kensington Kookaburra Womens 1st Grade, who couldn't get past Glenelg in a tough outing.
We batted first and put 9/226 on the board from 50 overs. Sarah Lowe passed fifty on the way to 66 off 86 balls with five fours. Eliza Doddridge chipped in with 44. Ella Wilson was the pick of Glenelg's bowlers with four for 50. Riya Gupta finished with three for 33 for our opponents.
The hosts knocked off the runs, finishing on 3/227 in 43.4 overs. Credit to Kate Peterson, who made a half-century (73) for our opponents. Shae Daly picked up two for 46 off ten overs.
Congratulations to the hosts on the win.
