It was a tough day out for our Kensington Kookaburra Womens 1st Grade, who lost to Sturt on a day that didn't go our way.
We batted first and put 78 on the board from 26.3 overs. Bridget Patterson played a good hand of 29 off 38 balls. Tahlia Keylock took a five-wicket haul for Sturt, finishing with five for 14.
In reply, the hosts passed our total, finishing on 2/79 in 23.1 overs.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
Well played to our opponents.
