It was a great day for our Kensington Kookaburra Womens 1st Grade, who took the honours against West Torrens with Shae Daly leading the way.
First up, we made 7/221 from 50 overs. Shae Daly made a cracking 80 not out off 120 balls, a well-made fifty. Elsa Barnfather made a superb 51 off 60 balls, a well-made fifty. Jade Gersch made 36 off 35 balls.
In reply, West Torrens finished on 156 from 41.5 overs. Chloe Rosenzweig made 27 for the visitors. Grace Jones picked up four for 44 off 7.5 overs. Emmerson Filsell also took two for 20.
It was a great all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up. The win was extra sweet after our opponents got the better of us earlier in the season. Thanks to the visitors for the contest.
