Despite a solid effort, our Kensington Kookaburra Womens 2nd Grade went down against Adelaide in Senior Women action.
We posted 7/214, and Adelaide 9/220. A classy 56 off 103 balls from Abby Bain was the highlight. Anjli Thakur did the damage for our opponents with three for 22.
The visitors' best was a half-century from Josie Groves, who made 77. The wickets were shared around, with Shannon Calvert taking three for 27. Niamh Walsh offered good support with two for 26.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. A tough stretch, and one the side will be determined to end.
On to the next one.
