Our Kensington Kookaburra Womens 2nd Grade were in fine form and were too good for Northern Districts in a classy team performance.
Northern Districts set the target, making 10/114 from 38.3 overs. Fifty for Mollie McArdle, who made 50 for our opponents. Isabel Durant picked up two for 12 off five overs. Hannah Taylor-Yeates offered good support with two for 13.
In reply, the team reached the target at 2/116 in 21.2 overs. Teju Jayaprakash's 36 off 38 balls was the highlight with the bat. Abby Bain finished 34 not out off 67 balls.
A big win, and a performance to build on.
A brilliant effort from the girls.
