Our Kensington Kookaburra Womens 2nd Grade came unstuck as they were bettered by West Torrens by four wickets at Henley Grange Memorial Oval.
We batted first and finished with 10/129 on the board from 38.2 overs. Abby Bain's 51 off 109 balls was a half-century to remember. Martha Roberts made 23 off 40 balls. Mackenzee McCauley took a five-wicket haul for West Torrens, finishing with five for 31.
In reply, our opponents passed our total, finishing on 6/132 in 36.1 overs. Brianna Cheetham top-scored for the hosts with 47. Emily Hinze added 38 for our opponents. Our best with the ball was Roberts, who took two for 22.
There were some good individual efforts to build on.
Well played to the hosts.
