It just wasn't our day: our Kensington West End Mens 2nd Grade were bettered by Adelaide in a tough outing.
First up, Adelaide made 217 from 49.3 overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Ben Kelly, who made 60. The wickets were shared around, with Jay Singh taking four for 33.
In reply, we finished on 215 from 49 overs. Achyut Chopra top-scored with 48 off 111 balls. George Taylor-Yeates added a useful 44 off 36 balls.
It could have gone either way, and the side can be proud of the fight.
The team will be keen to bounce back.
