There was no joy for our Kensington West End Mens 4th Grade, who had to give best to East Torrens at Kensi Gdns Res - Col Waite Oval.
Batting first, the boys were all out for 196 in 40 overs. Lachie Estcourt Hughes passed fifty on the way to 61 off 65 balls with ten fours. Harry Burgess added a useful 30 off 40 balls. Michael Whittington Arnold bowled well for East Torrens, taking four for 31. Sachin Ravindran weighed in with three for 33 for our opponents.
The visitors reached the target at 9/200 in 39.1 overs. Aaron Chapman top-scored for our opponents with 46. Burgess led the way with the ball, finishing with three for 31. Matthew Hopkins added two for 30.
There were some quality individual efforts to build on. The team will be keen to turn things around after four straight losses. Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
