It was a satisfying day for our Kensington West End Mens 4th Grade, who defeated Southern District with a classy team effort.
It finished 6/225 to 9/112. Fifty for Charlie Moule-Hooworth, who finished with 87 off 113 balls. Jamieson Payne posted a half-century, making 68 not out off 56 balls with six fours and three sixes.
For Southern District, Tyler Clayton was unbeaten on 34. Seb Rice tore through the batting order, taking six for 17. Cameron Winen backed up well, taking two for 14.
Contributions came from right through the line-up. A first win of the season, and hopefully the first of many. Congratulations to the team on a cracking result.
