In Senior Men, our Kensington West End Mens 4th Grade notched a win over Glenelg.
With the bat first up, we compiled 7/178 from 40 overs. Alex Chapman brought up a polished half-century, finishing with 80 off 126 balls. Matthew Hopkins added a useful 27 off 26 balls. Jack Dermody bowled well for Glenelg, taking three for 30.
Our bowlers kept our opponents to 7/160 from 40 overs in reply. Scott Applegarth was the main threat for the hosts, making 40. Jamie Panelli was the pick of our bowlers with two for 21. Noah Murphy backed up well, taking two for 30.
It was a great all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up. Revenge, of sorts: our opponents had won our previous meeting this season. That makes it two wins in a row.
Thanks to the hosts for the contest.
