It was a disappointing outing for our Kensington West End Mens 2nd Grade, who were downed by Port Adelaide on a day to learn from.
Our totals were 10/129 and 7/152, against Port Adelaide's 3/143. George Taylor-Yeates was the pick of our batters with 43 off 80 balls. William Rice finished 24 not out off 64 balls. Our opponents' Harrison Massey was the standout with the ball, taking five for 33. Jamison Billing added three for 30 for the hosts.
Fifty for Caleb Hill, who made 50 not out for our opponents.
Credit to the hosts, who played well.
Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
