Our Kensington Kookaburra Womens 1st Grade had plenty to celebrate after they chalked up a win over West Torrens on Sunday.
With the bat first up, we compiled 8/267 from 50 overs. Indira Panelli's 112 off 135 balls was a century to savour. Sarah Lowe passed fifty on the way to 50 off 53 balls with five fours. There were also handy runs from Eliza Doddridge (32). Maggie Clark was the main threat for West Torrens, taking four for 45.
We bowled our opponents out for 191 in 41.5 overs. Credit to Amara Carr, who made a half-century (75) for the visitors. Clark posted 50 for our opponents, a quality fifty. Shae Daly was the pick of our bowlers with four for 42. Grace Jones also took two for 37.
A well-deserved win for the team. That makes it two wins in a row. Great work, everyone.
