Sunday didn't go our way, as our Kensington Kookaburra Womens 1st Grade were pipped by Glenelg on a day to learn from.
With the bat first up, we compiled 165 from 47.1 overs. Elsa Barnfather posted a half-century, making 55 off 69 balls with one four and two sixes. Indira Panelli made an excellent 50 off 75 balls, a well-made fifty. Bethany Harmer bowled well for Glenelg, taking three for 18.
The visitors knocked off the runs, finishing on 8/169 in 46.4 overs. Kayla McGrath passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 61 not out. Ellie Johnston helped the visitors with 34. Sarah Lowe was the pick of our bowlers with three for 21. Shae Daly finished with two for 41.
So close, and plenty of positives to take away. We will be looking to get back in the winning column soon. Chins up, everyone.
