Our Kensington (1) had to settle for a loss as they came off second best against Payneham with lessons to take away.
Our total was 93; Payneham's was 7/97. An unbeaten 28 off 39 balls from Gopika Pandit was a highlight. Ava Foote chipped in with 24. Heather Westwood claimed three for 11 for the hosts.
Kate Evans was 31 not out for our opponents. Our best with the ball was Chloe Juers, who took three for 7.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. It's two defeats on the trot, and the team will be eager to bounce back. Congratulations to the hosts on the win.
