There were smiles all round after our Kensington (Mixed) chalked up a win over Modbury (2) for a great result.
Modbury (2) batted first and reached 8/111 from 20 overs. For our opponents, Jack Hynds was unbeaten on 31. Our best with the ball was Cameron Winen, who took three for 10. Harvey Potter bowled nicely for two for 27. Hats off to Winen for a maiden in a T20 game.
In reply, the side reached the target at 6/113 in 19.3 overs. Elsa Barnfather was the pick of our batters with 40 off 37 balls. Lachlan Cox bowled well for the hosts, taking three for 16.
A well-deserved victory for the team.
Congratulations to all involved.
