It wasn't to be for our Kensington West End Mens 1st Grade - Div One, who couldn't get past Adelaide.
Across the match we made 7/191, with Adelaide on 5/192. A classy 54 not out off 88 balls from Christian Leddicoat was the highlight. Joshua Doyle chipped in with 35. Robbie White chipped in with 32. Credit to Noah McFadyen, who claimed a five-wicket haul (five for 78) for our opponents.
Our best with the ball was Cameron Fatchen, who took three for 51. There were also wickets for Lloyd Pope (two for 65). Noah McFadyen made a stylish 97 for the visitors, a well-deserved half-century.
Plenty to take out of this one.
It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around. Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
